Vernon Athelston Weis

Vernon Weis passed away in Calgary on Sunday, December 30, 2018. He was predeceased by his wife, Bernice and his daughter, Marcia. Vern leaves his Children, Laurie (Jerry), Mark (Shirley), Valerie (Robert), Craig (Jen), Eric (Sandy), Vicki (Wade) and Blake (Diane); numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Vern was born in 1931 in Acme, AB. After marrying Bernice in 1950, they started their life together in Stavely. While Vern & Bernice raised their family in Calgary, they maintained close ties with all their friends and family in Southern Alberta. Vern started and ran a successful HVAC company in Calgary, that is still in business today. After retiring Vern & Bernice lived for short times in Radium, Lethbridge, Claresholm, and Vulcan. Vern returned to Calgary after the death of Bernice.

A memorial gathering is being planned for early summer.

How very sorry to hear of Vern's passing. We enjoyed chatting with him when visiting our mom (Mary Johnson ) at Seton. When mom moved into Seton, Vern was quick to introduce himself and was always pleasant. Our condolences to the entire family. Rod and Dixie Watson and Mary Johnson
