Wayne Robert Petrovitch

In Loving Memory of Wayne Robert Petrovitch

January 29, 1936– July 20, 2025

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, Wayne Robert Petrovitch, on July 20, 2025, at the age of 89.

Born on January 29, 1936, Wayne was predeceased by his parents, John and Emma, his brothers John, Arthur, Irvine (“Pete”), and his sister Louise. Along with his daughter Linda. He is lovingly remembered by his sons Steve (Laura) and Dave, his seven grandchildren, Afton (Kyle), Justin, Sarah (Shane), Lexie (Cody), Stephanie (Nathan), Sydney and Emma and eight great-grandchildren.

Wayne lived a long and meaningful life, grounded in family and simple joys. He loved watching his children and grandchildren play sports and was a devoted fan of the Chicago Blackhawks and the Saskatchewan Roughriders. He also had a lifelong fondness for dogs and the companionship they brought.

In his spare time, he enjoyed tinkering with small woodworking projects and doodling—never taking himself too seriously, but always finding joy in the act of creating. Whether it was a rough little wood figure or a quick sketch, it was the doing, not the result, that brought him happiness.

His steady presence, warm spirit, and quiet strength will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

A private family service will be held at a later date
