Donald Warder

WARDER, Donald Winsloe

1941 - 2022

It is with great sadness that the family of Donald Winsloe Warder announces his unexpected but peaceful passing at the age of 81 on Monday, April 25th, 2022.

Don was born in Birmingham, England, to the late Fred and Ethel Warder. His family moved to Canada in 1952. Don's passion was dancing. He was involved in the Country Dance Community and has been a part of many groups, such as Country Cuz its Fun dance group, and participated and volunteered at the Calgary Dance Stampede. On occasion, you could also find him dancing and teaching at the Ranchman's. His friends in the dance community will miss Don.

Don will be lovingly remembered by his son, Brett (Candace) Warder; his grandchildren, Colin, Madisyn and Rhett; his sisters, Sue (Roger) Wheatley, Mary Warder, and Ann Evelyn; as well as many cousins, nieces, and nephews. Don also leaves behind his special friend Nadia, and the two of them enjoyed each other's company and taking care of each other.

We wish to thank the doctors and nurses at the Foothills Hospital for their compassionate care of our friend, father, and grandfather.

Family and friends are invited to gather in the Celebration of Don's Life at a location that will be shared at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association, 204, 2323 – 32 Avenue NE, Calgary, AB, T2E 6Z3.
