Valeda Grace Wannamaker

Valeda Wannamaker passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 18, 2018 at the age of 85 years. She was born in Didsbury where she resided all of her life.
She is lovingly remembered by her brother, Bob (Karen), her children, Rick (Dena), Darwin (Diane), Greg (Myrna) and her grandchildren Tobi (Kelly), Cheryle (Randy) , Rachel, Chelsea (Aaron) , Amanda (Edge), Holly (Conrad), 10 great grandchildren and numerous nieces & nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, Dick, her sister Elinor Clarke and her youngest son, Daryl, in 1986.
Valeda loved spending time with family & friends. She enjoyed doing ceramics & handicrafts. But the highlight of her life was following her sons in their various pursuits of hockey, car racing, horses, dog sled racing, boat racing & farming.
She spent the last 4 years at Bethany Care Centre in Didsbury where she enjoyed activities with her friends and excellent care by the friendly staff.
A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, July 25, 2018 at 1:00 at Knox United Church in Didsbury.

It was shared with us that mom (Irene) was mentioned in the tribute for having daily coffee with Valeda.
