Peter Vuist

Peter Vuist, loving father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend passed away peacefully on November 10, 2016 at Delta View Life Enrichment Centre. He enjoyed a long and happy life that lasted 88 years.

Peter was predeceased by his loving wife Anna Catharina Vuist, daughter AnnMary Jones, parents Gerard & Susan Vuist, brothers Jakobus and Johannes, and sisters Maria, Pauline, Johanna and Klazina. He leaves behind his daughter Caroline Vuist, son-in-law David Jones, brother Wilhelmus and sister Elisabeth. He will be missed by his grandchildren Sharon (Ray) VanMarrewyk, Debbie (Chris) Hojas, Alicia McCormack, Melissa (Alex) Krystolovich, and Jordan Herman as well as her great grandchildren: Taylor, Danica, Ethan, Jocelyn, Mya, Nathan, Jackson, Kali and Liam.

Peter's Life will be celebrated on Wednesday, November 23, 2016 at Mountain View Celebration Hall (5455 Fraser Street, Vancouver, BC) at 1:30 pm.

I am very sorry to hear about Peter's passing. My wife and I along with our kids (and grandkids) send our sincerest condolences to your extended family. I remember Peter being a fantastic person during the many years we lived next to him and his family in Kitsilano. He was patient and understanding with me, my brother and our other community friends during our formative and teen years. He was a great example of how to live a warm and kind life. I am sure those bushes on the eastern edge of their front yard that he let use as a soccer goal were ever the same. :) I am remembering all of you in my prayers. Kevin
