Wilhelmina Catherina Van Randen

Wilhelmina Catherina Van Randen (nee Janse) passed away on December 4, 2024. Willy was born on May 17, 1935, in a small village in the Netherlands. She was the youngest of four children. Willy moved to Canada in 1958, and married Sam Van Randen shortly afterwards. Together they raised a family of 5 children. Willy dedicated much time and energy to the church and to charity. 

Willy’s pastime was puzzling  – Scrabble, Sudoku, Wordle and jigsaws were her favourites. Her children introduced her to an iPad on her 80th birthday.

She easily learned to text and email, and it gave her great joy to be in close contact with her growing family, old and young, far and near.

Willy’s five children brought thirteen grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren (so far) to the family, all of whom she loved dearly - she was a loving Mother and Oma. Willy will be missed by all who loved her, she touched many people in different ways and will remain in our hearts forever.
