Who can forget Ernie's dry sense of humour - and his sense of mischief? Who else but Ernie would instigate the water fight at the First Christian Reformed Church picnics? A loss for you Ricki, and your children, and for the community. Thank you to both you and Ernie for being such an enriching presence in our former church family. ~ Harley Middel

Ricki, Yvonne, Dave, Suzanne and family...our deepest condolances. I have so many crazy memories of Ernie that I can't write them all down. The latest one I will share...he and Bruce always call Rob "Easybucks"...so he called me "Mrs. Easy"...until I boldly told him I didn't think that was appropriate. He paused, thought it out, chuckled and never called me that again. Yet he never failed to check with me on how I was doing and how much golf Rob was getting in. He will be missed greatly. But memories will stay...until we meet again in glory! ~ Wanda Konynenbelt

Our thoughts and prayers are with you Rickie and family. We have been away and so haven’t been to visit you. We are praying for you all and after 56 years he will certainly be missed. ~ Bill and Marie Poelman
