Pirkko Tuulikki van Dijk

Pirkko van Dijk, age 71, formerly of Blackfalds, AB, passed away peacefully in Sundre, AB after a short battle with cancer. Pirkko enjoyed a 25 year career at the Blackfalds School as a grade 2 teacher before retiring in Caroline, AB. Pirkko loved the community of Caroline and continued to substitute teach at the Caroline School. She was also an active member of the Caroline Legion and held various offices including President. Pirkko is survived by her husband Hendrik; son, Rik and his wife Christine; daughter Lisa and her husband Dave; grandson Jesse and his wife Patricia; granddaughter Jasmine and her fiancé Levon, great grandchildren Jack, Oliver and Ella. Please join us in a celebration of her life on January 5, 2019 at the Caroline Legion from 2-5pm.
