Anne Urszulan (Matai)

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our Mother, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother Anne Urszulan (Matai) on Wednesday, December 18, 2019 at the age of 92 years. Anne was born and raised in Quinton, SK. She met and married her husband John on June 5, 1946. In 1965 they moved from the farm to Regina. Mom was an excellent and devoted caregiver to her children and grandchildren.

Anne was predeceased by her husband John in 1978; her sons Chester and Gerry in 2000 and Ron in 2014; parents Frank and Theresa Matai; siblings Joseph Matai, Sister Corolla Matai and Frank Matai. Anne is survived by her children Ralph (Geraldine), Cecil, Linda (Larry) Frederick, Donna (Brian) Abbott, John Jr., Debbie (David) Benko, Vicky, Lyle (Debbie), Darrel (Lori), Dwayne, Janice (Mark) Henry, Frank (Laurie) and Leon; daughters-in-law Audrey and Bonnie; grandchildren Anya (Sean), Anita (James), Shane, Kristy (Levi), Tyler (Jocelyn), Natasha (Derek), Nicole (Shaun), Angie, Ryan, Stevie, Joseph (Kyla), Amy, Alexis, Matthew, Sara, Isaac and Mila; great-grandchildren Elijah, Austin, Alessia, Elias, Desmond, Finley, Zoey, Alisha, Tenai, and Lochlan; siblings Mary Horvath, Yolanda Eckel, Sister Helen Matai, Marge Bast, Rose Desautels, and John Matai; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Celebration of Anne’s Life will be held at a later date.
