Messages of Condolence

My deepest condolences on your loss. Although Larry was a teenage friend of mine we did not go to the same schools as he was two years older, but he lived a couple of blocks from me on Prince Albert. Larry holds a very special place in my life that I would like to share with you. Space prevents me from elaborating but life would have been very different for me had I not become friends with him. We lived very near to Robson Park and as a young teenager I was headed in a very bad direction with some of the teenagers there. The one thing I did well was to play fastball. He kept me on the right track with his friendship. We would walk to Cap Stadium and enter through the " Larry and Buddy " gate to watch the Mounties play. One time I lost my mitt and with no money to buy one I was heartbroken. Larry then gave me his mitt with the words-''Don't worry Buddy,I'll get another one''- So as a family I'm sure you thought he was a very special man and I just wanted to let you know that I also thought he was a very special friend. I was very lucky to know him and am very pleased to see he lived a good life with a great family. Bud Ryall ~ Bud Ryall

I will miss your calls, we had so many conversations, some sadness, lots of laughs. I always looked forward to us going to the states for the day to do your errands and then the casino . You were a great dad , husband and friend, always friendly and polite. I never thought I would be writing this now but that's how life goes. You fought hard, but sadly gave into it. You were a great brother to me always there for me and listened to my woes without complaining. Rest in peace dear brother, love you ~ Carol Parker

I am saddened to hear of the loss of Larry, or as i liked to call him "Kevin". What a sense of humour he had ! I had the pleasure of assisting him and his lovely wife, Elaine, with their travel needs, and I always looked forward to our time together, plotting out the latest adventure. I hope to be told of any celebration of life the family may have, as I do want to pay tribute to this wonderful man, who was first my client, but over time, became my friend. ~ Brydon Green
