George Sunduk

George Sunduk, born August 19, 1920 in the Danbury, SK district and late of the Veteran’s Unit at the Regina Wascana Rehab. Centre passed away on Saturday, March 21, 2015 at the age of 94 years. Predeceased by his parents Alex and Sophie; brothers John, Mike, and Nick; sister Annie Rostotski; grandson Bryce Sunduk. George will be lovingly remembered by his children Virginia Angelopoulos of Regina, SK, Laverne (Colleen) Sunduk of Prince Rupert, BC, and Reginald Sunduk (Lil Stanley) of Regina, SK; grandchildren Michael (Angela), Stacy, Lorelle, Patricia, Sara (Gagan), and Jessica; precious great-grandchildren Antonio, Alivia, and Skylar; mother of his children Annette Sunduk; brother Metro (Adeline) Sunduk; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and other family members. He bravely served in the Canadian Army during the 1940’s and thereafter held a variety of jobs working for Christy Cookies in Toronto, CNR in BC, construction projects at Carrot River and as a Patrol Officer for the Department of Natural Resources. On returning to the Danbury district with his family, he pursued farming and was an avid fisherman and hunter. George had a passion for animals and his favourite hobby was raising Shetland ponies. Funeral Service will be held on Friday, March 27, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. in the Chapel of Wascana Rehab. Centre, 2180 – 23rd Ave., Regina, SK with Rev. Jan Temple-Jones officiating. Interment will be held on Friday, March 27, 2015 at 4:00 p.m. in the Canora Cemetery, Canora, SK.
