Doris Alberta Stephenson (nee Upton)

Doris passed away peacefully on October 23 at the age of 94 years. She was born November 3, 1916 in Calgary, Alberta. She was raised in Tako, Saskatchewan, where she met and married Ole Stephenson, who became a Roadmaster on the CNR. Over the years she traveled with her husband and raised their family mainly in Wainwright, Alberta and North Battleford,Saskatchewan. She spent the last sixteen years of her life in Calgary, Alberta. She leaves to mourn her loss two sons; Mervin Stephenson and Roland (Arlene) Stephenson; four grandchildren, and six great grandchildren . Funeral services will be held at St. James Anglican Church, 6351 Ranchview Drive N.W., Calgary Alberta on Thursday, October 27, 2011 at 10:00 am . Internment will follow in the Wainwright Cemetery.

We are so sorry to hear of Gramma Doris passing. Even though she was not my real gramma I always thought of her as my real gramma.I had the privilege to know her for quite awhile. We had some real good times and alot of laughs. She was an amazing lady with a big heart. She was the grandmother of my son and a real good at that. I would like to send my condolences to the family. Even though I wasn't always there gramma Doris was always in my mind and in our hearts.
