Stephen Donald Andersen

September 29, 2026

“Death's not so scary. I don't think it's the end of anything. It's more like just another step along the way.” -MacGyver

The evening of Tuesday, September 29th, at approximately 7:40pm CST, the family and friends of Stephen Andersen reluctantly said goodbye. He was a great man, Son, Brother, Cousin, and Father.

Stephen Andersen, born August 5th, 1979, was an intelligent man known for his kindness, his love for animals, the outdoors, and his generosity and humour; typically shielded by a reserved and strong composure. He spent his life working diligently to provide for his family by working nights in maintenance management, to ensure his beloved children never went without.

He spent his time finding ways to put his creativity to use by exploring new hobbies. Whether it be building, whittling, reading, sketching, painting, or fine tuning a virtual reality. He never limited himself when it came to side quests. He knew how to pursue a new interest, and embark on a new adventure with great diligence.

He will be well remembered, not only for his strong character, but for his well rounded collections; to which he was proud to share with those closest to him. Above all else, Stephen Andersen treasured his collection of loved ones. He was incredibly grateful and honored for those who held him close in consideration and in high esteem. He was, and will always be, respected. He was looked up to and admired. He was proud of his family and his friends, and always will be. His memory will be cherished by those he leaves behind.

He is survived, and greatly loved, by his Mother Katherine Martel, and his siblings, such as his Little brother David R. Martel. Stephen joins his sister Cherrie with God in heaven, and is survived by her husband Travis Hudy and her children; Andrew Martel and his wife Tara Kinash, with their children Aj and Watson. As well as, Ethan Martel and his wife Shawna Rae Laplante, and their children Emma, Sophia, and Emmett. Along with Cherries daughter Abigail Tavella. He is survived by his younger sister Laura Andersen and her partner Gregory Fisher, alongside her children Sophia and Angela Huard. He is survived also, by his sister Christine Martel and her Children Christopher (Martel) Strand, Matthew Martel, Lily-Jean Haygarth, and Stephanie Martel. Furthermore, He is survived by his youngest sister Jessica Boulanger, her Husband Jesse Boulanger, and their children Abigail and Tobias Boulanger. He is survived by the Mother of his children Linda Holmes and her partner, and dear friend, Kyle Banks. He is survived by, and revered, by his daughter Nikita F. Martel, alongside her partner Corrin Kleinsasser, and their children Aiden and Ashley Martel-Kleinsasser. As well as, Jayden Andersen and her daughters Evelyn and Aubriella. Stephen is survived by, and excruciatingly missed, by his Sons Tyler and Bo-dean Andersen. Lastly, Stephen is Survived by his well welcomed step-children, and their father Wilfred Gall and their Stepmother Christina Bahnuick Gall. Starting with the first born daughter Charlene Steinke, alongside her Husband Michael Steinke; and their adopted niece. Their Daughter Serenity Steinke-Milford, alongside her partner Tyler Messer, and their children Myra and Kaizen. As well as Patricia Gall-Coghill, alongside her husband Regan Coghill, and their Daughter Artemis. Finally, he is survived and greatly appreciated by his youngest step-children Michael Gall and Sherri A. Gall.

His family and friends are forever grateful for the contributions and influence Stephen Andersen had in their lives, and will never forget him so long as they breathe. No holiday will be the same, nor any special occasion.

““He was a man… who loved… and was loved. That is a life well spent.” – Jadzia Dax eulogizing Kor, “Once More Unto the Breach””

A memorial Service will be held and announced at a later date. In lieu of (or in addition to) flowers, the family and friends of Stephen Andersen, kindly request that you donate to his “GoFundMe”, which will be published shortly, if you're able. His favourite flowers were Scottish thistles and sunflowers, and his favourite colour royal purple.

Gone but not forgotten, Stephen Andersen. “Rejoice for those around you, who transform into the Force.” -Yoda
