Nettie Stangness (Nee Kuhn)

Nettie passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 5, 2022 in Innisfail, Alberta at the age of 94 with family by her side.

Nettie was born to Peter and Eva Kuhn in Tofield, Alberta on February 22, 1928. She was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses in her youth. Nettie married Robert (Bob) Stangness on June 24, 1950 in Edmonton, Alberta, a year later they welcomed their son Dwayne Robert.

Nettie is lovingly remembered by her son, Dwayne; four grandchildren, Cheree, Jason, Jeremy and Shelby. She will also be missed by her 7 great-grandchildren Acacia, Braeden and Keegan Musikov, and Lizzie, Tristan, Ryan and Jana Stangness. She will also be missed by her dearest sister Mary Lull.

Nettie was predeceased by her husband, Robert (Bob) in 2012; her mother, Eva in 1993; her father, Peter in 1968; and her brothers, Steve in 2013 and Orest in 2001.
