Stacy Wolf

November 13, 1962 – October 5, 2026

Stacy Francis Wolf passed away on October 5th, 2026 at the age of 63.

Born on November 13, 1962 in Medicine Hat, Alberta, Stacy was the son of Francis “Frank” Wolf and Martha Wolf.

From the age of 5, Stacy lived in Burstall, SK until the family moved to Medicine Hat when he was 15. The following year the family moved to Abbotsford, BC where he completed his high school.

After high school, Stacy started work at Future Shop and transferred to Calgary in 1982 to help open their new store. He became the head teller trainer. It was there he discovered he was really good with computers. He moved back to Abbotsford in 1984 having registered for and completing computer science courses in Seattle. He then worked for the family Sears outlet until further courses took him into trading commodities until his retirement.

Stacey was a devout Catholic, was an altar boy and trained altar boys in the Abbotsford and Vancouver areas. Stacey loved watching sports on TV and, in particular, his favorite Vancouver Canucks hockey team. He also loved watching comedy on YouTube. From an early age and up until his passing, he loved collecting hockey cards and had some delivered to his home on the day before he passed away.

Stacy kept on top of computer capabilities and would order the parts and build his own computers. He loved gaming with people all over the world. It was through his gaming that he met his good friend, Cindy Ammon, from Ohio. Stacy loved genealogy, because family and family roots were important to him.

Stacy was predeceased by his mother, Martha, in 2004 and by his father, Frank, in 2025. He is survived by his extended family of aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Dates and times for prayers and the funeral will be provided when arrangements are completed.

Messages of Condolence

I am sorry to hear of Stacy’s passing. He was my mother, Cindy Ammon, best friend for many years. He was so special and there for her through many of her hardest times. Although they never met in person, they knew and loved each other very much. Prayers for all of family and friends.

Stacy was the kindest and most understanding person I've ever known. He was there for my happy and sad times. Even though we never met, I'm grateful to have been blessed with having 22 years of his friendship. He was rare and one of a kind and will be missed. My prayers go out to his family.
- Cindy Ammon
