James George Spracklin
January 22, 2023

Predeceased by his parents, George and Betty, Jim was born in Hamilton, Ontario. They eventually settled on the North Shore where he lived the majority of his life. Married for 36 years, Jim and Jody lived a quiet lifestyle. He enjoyed hosting and baking for loved ones. He loved music, camping, and fishing. Jim made strong connections with his crew working highway maintenance. Extremely helpful and hard-working, he loved staying busy in retirement by completing outdoor projects such as rebuilding decks, fences, and landscaping. A private ‘Celebration of Life’ will be held for Jim at a later date in the spring or summer.

Messages of Condolence
The good die young. Through high school I always remember Jim's face with a warm how are we doing smile, and we became friends. In the early 90's I found out what Jim did for work one night when he towed my stalled car from the middle of the Lion's Gate Bridge. My condolences to Jim's family and close friends, I know he will be missed. ~ John Macrae
Jim was one of my first friends when we moved to LV in 69. He and Bill were like my brothers for a few years. Quiet, kind and yet full of fun, Jim was someone this “new kid in town” always felt safe with. Thanks, Jim, I sure appreciate you. My heartfelt condolences to all the others who loved you. ~ Paul Grayhurst
