Norman John Smith

It is with sad hearts we announce the passing of Norman John Smith.  John was born in Calgary, Alberta January 27, 1947 to Ivy and Sydney Smith. He grew up and attended school in Turner Valley where he met his wife Trina.  They lived on a farm in the Millarville area before moving to their current residence in 1972. John held various jobs throughout his life, he enjoyed playing his guitar, golfing, wood working and photography.

John is predeceased by his parents; sister, Helen; father and mother in-law, Bob and Margret; as well as sister in-law Maureen.  He is survived by his wife, Trina; children, Cindy (Blair), Christie (Earl), Sean (Tammy); seven grandchildren, Rachel, Scott (Rianna), Darianne (Max), Mathew, Brooklyn (Brody), Janelle (Jayden) and Robert (Mikenna); one great granddaughter, Imogen as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

An informal gathering will be held at the Caroline Legion on April 13th from 11:30-3:00 pm. In lieu of flowers donations may be given to the Innisfail Palliative care unit.
