Philip Singer (Phil) passed away peacefully on January 23, 2024, after a long battle with cancer at the age of 84.
Phil was born to Clarence and Viola in New Westminster, British Columbia. He was the eldest of four siblings (Karen, Brian, and Joanne). A good portion of his youth was spent growing up in the Cariboo around Williams Lake, Forest Grove, and Horsefly. Later in his teens the family moved back to Vancouver and eventually he found himself settling in Tsawwassen. Phil was passionately involved in the building of the community and local Lutheran Church. He also connected with many people over the years from his automotive repair business where he worked until his retirement.
Phil met his wife, Myrna in 1967 at the Tsawwassen Chevron station. They married in 1968 and went on to have three children and raised their family in Tsawwassen.
In addition to being a dedicated and loving father, Phil loved to fish, play the piano, and everything about cars. Throughout his entire life, he held an unwavering faith in God, which he shared with those who surrounded him.
Phil joins his father Clarence, mother Viola, and his brother Brian in Heaven. He is survived by his wife Myrna, his children Melodie, Chris (Sabrina), Tim (Laura), and four grandchildren Evan, Ashley, Olivia, and Bradley.
A private family memorial is planned for the spring. Condolences can be made on the website https://www.myalternatives.ca/
