Elvira May Shima

June 3, 2016

Elvira May (née Dyck) Shima, of Calgary, AB, died peacefully on June 3, 2016, after a harrowing battle with cancer. Elvira is survived by: her loving daughter, Sarah Shima; her siblings Gregory Dyck, Valerie (née Dyck) Gordon, and Pamela Dyck-Viner; numerous nieces, nephews,
other family members; and, her beloved dog, Poppy. Elvira was predeceased by her parents, Bernard and Lyla Dyck, and brother, Warren Dyck. The family would like to thank the staff at the Sarcee Hospice and Palliative Home Care for their wonderful care. At Elvira's request, there will be no formal service. A Celebration of Life will happen at a later date. For information on this event,
