Sheridan Duguid

Sheridan Duguid passed away peacefully at home on March 20, 2026, at the age of 86.

Beloved wife of Les Duguid, mother of two, and grandmother of four, Sheri was a thoughtful and creative presence in the lives of those who knew her. She had a deep love for the arts and for gardening, and she pursued her creative interests through studies in ceramics and photography at Emily Carr.

Sheri cherished time spent with family and friends and found joy in beauty, creativity, and connection. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.

In lieu of flowers, condolences may be shared through donations to an arts organization, art museum, or any nonprofit that helps bring more beauty and peace into the world.

A service will be held at a later date.

Messages of Condolence

I met Sherry several decades ago when I joined the Garry Point Book Club. In the early years the evening meetings were a great way to unwind and share our impressions of a book we had all read. Later, morning sessions were available as we were no longer working full time. Sherry always had such great insight and often brought a unique perspective to our discussion of the book. We were so happy to gather once a month with our book friends and often as the meeting wore on, someone would have to say “ we really should get on to discussing the book”.😁As her health became an obstacle to her gathering with us, she was missed. Not just for her contribution to the discussion, but the warmth and caring presence she brought to our little group. Rest well, Sherry. You have shared so much insight and wisdom with us that we carry that with us. You will not be forgotten.
