It is with great sadness and broken hearts that we share the news that Manolo Serra Jr. or commonly known to friends and relatives as June Serra passed away on Thursday, April 29, 2021 in Regina, Saskatchewan at the age of 43.
He was predeceased by his father Manolo Serra Sr. in 2020. June is survived by his loving wife of 13 years Ann Serra; his six-year-old daughter Rachel Serra; his mother Rosita Serra; brothers William Serra of Wales, United Kingdom, Winston Serra of Regina, Saskatchewan and Wilbur Serra of London, United Kingdom; his sister Wendeilyn Serra-Pugal of Philippines; uncles Eugene Serra of United States and Manuel Rodriguez of Philippines; as well as numerous cousins, nephews and nieces of United States, Germany, Canada and Philippines.
June was a devoted father to Rachel. He loved to play musical instruments and sing with Rachel. June spent most of his time going to the lake and fishing with his family. He liked to ride his motorcycle around the city during the summer. He was a problem solver who often took on difficult and unwanted projects at work and at home. He worked at the Brandt Centre and his co-workers would describe him as a hardworking person but at the same time fun to work with. He loved to encourage and share the word of God with other people. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends and people who knew him.
A Private Celebration of June’s Life will be held at a later date.
June may be gone but he will never be forgotten.
