Frank D. Scherr passed away peacefully with his family by his side on February 9, 2016.
Frank was born on June 28, 1927 in Scott, Saskatchewan. He grew up in Tramping Lake, SK and moved to Calgary, AB where he met his wife Ruth. They settled in Qu’Appelle, SK and raised their family. They have resided in Balgonie, SK since 2009.
Frank was predeceased by his daughter April in infancy; his parents Frank and Otelia Scherr; siblings Melonia, Alexander, Tony, Barbara, Mary, Mike, Betty, and Joseph. He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years Ruth; his children Joseph (Marj), Donald (Sonia), Jennifer (Rob), and Debra (Rick); and his numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews; his precious friends Sally Graefer, Van and Dao Quach and their children.
A Celebration of Frank’s Life will be held on Saturday, February 13, 2016 at 1:30 p.m. in St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, Balgonie, SK. Interment in Balgonie Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Heart & Stroke Foundation is appreciated.
