Harry John Sarber

With sadness, we announce the passing of Harry Sarber, on February 7, 2023 at the age of 89. Beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle, cousin, mentor, and friend, Harry was a true force of nature that will be lovingly remembered and deeply missed by all who knew him. An artist in spirit and a jeweler by trade since the age of 16, Harry was passionate about his craft, and inspired by the Indigenous art and artists of his beloved hometown of Vancouver. He adored his city, and would happily recount his long history within it to all who would listen. Proud of his sense of humour, Harry had a seemingly endless repertoire of jokes that he could always be counted upon to deliver with a laugh and a wink, but as a one-time boxing champion and longtime hockey goaltender, he was tough as nails and never one to back down – a fighter to the very end.
