Pearl Ropchan

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our dear mother (the matriarch of our family). Pearl was a most gracious, selfless, giving lady whose greatest joy was being surrounded by her family.  Each of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren brought her so much happiness. Until the end, she knew every one of their names, birthdates, what their interests and activities were and she took great interest in them. She was so proud of all of them, as she was of her children.

We were very fortunate that she was able to live independently until her last weeks.  She loved to bake and prepare delicious meals, always ready for a family gathering (an invitation never required!). Her door was always open.

Pearl is lovingly remembered by 5 of her 6 children, Rose, Charlene, Douglas, Richard, Terri; 11 of her 12 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren; 3 sisters, Mary, Elizabeth and Dorene; and several nieces and nephews.  She was pre-deceased by husband Matt in 1982, son Raymond, granddaughter Stacey, brother Mike, son-in-law Bill.

A Celebration of Pearl’s Life will be held at a later date.
