Ronald Harrison

June 24, 2026

Dad was born in the little fishing village of Fleetwood, England on January 24,1934, and passed quietly and peacefully in Surrey, BC on June 24, 2026 at the age of 92.

Dad always had a great love for where he grew up, and always shared stories about his childhood. In the 1950’s he served a short time for the UK army in Cyprus, one of his fondest memories, and in the 1960’s, immigrated to Canada with his young family.

While in Canada he worked as mechanic, and he was proud of the fact that he was brought here to work and train others on complex machinery. He was always very good at what he put his mind to. In the later years Dad started his own Concrete Contracting business, working alongside his oldest son for many years.

Dads “golden years” included a move to the Vancouver Island then Ontario, and becoming heavily involved in his passion, Lawn Bowling. Having been President and Groundskeeper for both Qualicum Lawn Bowling Club, and Brockville Lawn Bowling Club, Dad was never one to sit still, and was remarkable at any role he played for both clubs. He always spoke so highly of the sport and stayed hugely involved with it for many years.

Dad returned to BC at the age of 88, and spent the last 4 years spending time with his family, making many treasured memories. A trip to the beach with a “Timmies triple triple” was always his idea of a good time!

Dad is survived by his children, Dave (Agnus), Anthony, Tracey (Abhai), and Sharon (Darren) and Gwenn (Dave), he is also survived by many grandchildren & great grandchildren.

This is an incredible loss, but the sweet memories we share will overshadow the sadness in time.

We love you Dad.
