Robert passed away peacefully in White Rock, B.C. Canada on August 27th 2026 with his dear sister Patsy by his side. He was 78 years old. Robert was a brilliant writer, artist, athlete and creative genius. He grew up in Philadelphia, PA. He loved Wildwood, NJ. where he would work summers as a waiter/busboy at the Pulaski Hotel/restaurant and Pierre’s as a teenager. Graduating from Frankford HS Class of ‘66 where he was a member of The Ambassadors of Song Choir and the Fencing team. Robert travelled and sang his way through Scandinavia and South America with the group. Then attending Community College of Philadelphia. Earning a BA then Masters Degree in Canada, becoming a citizen there in 1970. Robert had frequent columns in Art Magazine, published works, received grants for his prolific, thoughtful writing and was honored by the Poetry Institute of Canada in 2011. Robert travelled through other parts of the world including Finland and back to the States occasionally to visit family and work as a camp counselor which he loved and was thankful he made a positive impact on the lives of many. Robert will be truly missed and loved by all who had the privilege to know him. He is survived by his Sisters: Dolores and Patsy (Patricia), Daughter Peura and Grandson Vinski.(Finland) Nieces: Jamie, Irene, Carol and Theresa. Nephews: Kenny, Joey, Ralph and David.(Philadelphia) Also many Great & Great Great Nieces, Nephews and Friends. Robert was predeceased by his Mother and Father Edward and Marie Myers, Brothers Eddie and Chalie and sister Maureen. ~Please remember Robert by being kind to one another, enjoy some art, writing, music, dance, the world around you and beyond. Listen to some Stevie Wonder, Bob Dylan, John Denver, Simon & Garfunkel if you can. Or any tunes you enjoy! Play an instrument,~the harmonica is a favorite of mine~ Interment private.
