James Alexander Robbins

James (Jim) Robbins, beloved husband, father and grandfather, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his family. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife Carol of forty-eight years; son Steven (Cheryle); daughters Lenore (Trevor) Brewer and Sandra (James) Korinowski and adored grandchildren, Stephanie and Devon Robbins, Danielle and Julianne Brewer and Daniel Korinowski all of Calgary. Jim began his banking career with the Imperial Bank of Canada, followed by the Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce, and retired from the Alberta Treasury Branches in 1991. Jim will be remembered as a devoted and caring family man. At his request, there will be no funeral service. If desired, a donation in Jim’s memory may be made to the Cardiac Amyloidosis Research, c/o Canadian Amyloidosis Support Network, 41 Bauer Crescent, Markham, Ontario L3R 4H3.

Hello, on behalf of Pat and I, we offer you our sincerest condolences on the passing of Jim. Pat used to work with Jim at the Imperial Bank in East End Calgary and they lived very close to one another. She has many fond memories of working with Jim and his favorite name for her was "Pete". Jim worked with me at the North Hill Branch of ATB for a short period when he was transferred from Barrhead and before his Branch was ready. I recall what a wonderful and happy person he was and we all so enjoyed his warm personality and happiness.
