Jacqueline Richards (nee Moine)

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Jacqueline (Jacquie, Mémé) Richards on December 16, 2019 at the age of 85 years. She died peacefully in Regina, SK surrounded by her loving family as vibrant as ever in her final moments. She was predeceased by her husband Lorne Richards; brother Gale Moine; her parents Victor and Louise Moine.  
Jacquie is survived by her children: Boyd (Tracey) Richards and their children Johslyne, Amber, Brook and Courtney; Darcy (Pam) Richards and their children Dakota and Mason; Russ (Cathy) Richards and their children Lance and Landon; Robin (Del) Urzada and their children Adam, Alex and Anna; Kathy-Anne Richards; sister Gloria Tone; great-grandchildren; as well as numerous niece, nephews, extended family and friends.

Jacquie was born on December 26, 1933 and was the oldest of three children by her parents Victor Moine of Décize, France and Louise Trottier of Swift Crossing, Saskatchewan. Raised in Val Marie, Saskatchewan she later moved to Regina. She married the love of her life Lorne Richards (from Orkney, SK) on July 7, 1954. They went on to have five children, 11 grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren. Jacquie was well read and was passionate about many things. She studied French at the University of Regina, did some modeling, was an incredibly talented gardener, enjoyed oil painting in her past time, and LOVED to sing. She led her family with strength, beauty, courage and grace. Always finding something good in everyone she met, and always one to speak her mind.
At Jacquie’s request, there will be no funeral service. The Celebration of her Life will take place at the family cottage at Pasqua Lake, at a date yet to be determined. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Souls Harbour Rescue Mission.
