John "JR" Henry Renkema

RENKEMA, John Henry
December 30, 1948 – June 2, 2017

John Renkema “JR” passed away peacefully after a short, courageous battle with cancer, at the Drumheller Health Centre on Friday, June 2, 2017 at the age of 68 years.

He will be lovingly remembered by his daughter, Cindy (Larry) Poland; granddaughters, Tori (Azraie), Kyley and Shelby; mother, Aaffien Renkema; brothers, Ralph, Leendaert and Nick Renkema; many nieces and nephews; and lifelong friend, Edie Renkema.

JR is predeceased by his infant son, Curtis Renkema; father, Klaas Renkema; and siblings, Wieb Renkema and Johanna Carbert.

The family wish to thank Dr. Mpisi, Dr. Mattier and the nursing staff at the Drumheller Health Centre and some very special NA’s (you know who you are).

A Celebration of JR’s Life will be held at the Elm Pentecostal Fellowship Hall, 245 – 3 Street W., Drumheller, AB (the old Central School) on Saturday, June 10, 2017 sat 2:00 pm.
