Barbara Jean Proulx

On Tuesday September 12, 2017 Barbara Jean Proulx (nee LaFontaine) was ushered into Glory with her captain and Master Christ Jesus at the helm of her vessel. Barb will be sorrowfully missed by her mother; Connie LaFontaine (nee Dale), husband and shipmate; Daniel “Danny” Proulx, daughter; Erin Decaire (nee Lott), son; Shaun (Robin) Lott, grand daughter; Juliette Lott, sisters; Sandra (Doug) McIntyre and Brenda (Donald) Gold, brother; Michael (Debbie) LaFontaine, numerous nephews, nieces as well as extended family and very close friends she would consider as family. Barb was predeceased by her father; Lester LaFontaine and son-in-law; Darren Decaire.

Barb loved her Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ which showed through in all she did. She loved life and had an infectious joy that she shared with all those she met. Barb spent precious time building memories that will last forever in our hearts. A visitation will be held at Alternatives Funeral and Cremation Services, 12 East Lake Way NE, Airdrie, AB on Sunday, September 17, 2017 from 3:00 – 5:00 PM. A Celebration of Life will be held at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, 73 George Fox Trail, Cochrane, AB on Monday, September 18, 2017 at 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers a donation in Barb’s memory may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association, 204, 2323 – 32nd. Ave., NE, Calgary, AB T2E 6Z3 or the Kidney Foundation of Southern Alberta, 6007 – 1A St., SW., Calgary, AB T2H 0G5.
