Ernie Petrow of Calgary, AB, passed away on Wednesday, August 17, 2022, at the age of 89 years. He was born in Dauphin, Manitoba, on March 21, 1933.
Ernie worked in the construction industry most of his life, operating heavy equipment; in Manitoba, British Columbia, Saskatchewan and Alberta.
He is lovingly remembered by his wife of 58 years, Marilyn; daughter, Darcie (Allan) Tate; son, Dean; 4 grandsons, Craig (Marliana) Tate, T. J (Thomas), Sheldon and Alexander Petrow; and one great-grandson, Jude Tate; and several nieces and nephews. Ernie was predeceased by his parents, Alex and Kasonka Petrow; sister, Ann (Frank) Mikulski; brother, Mike (Stella) Petrow, John (Pearl) Petrow, and Fred (Kathy) Petrow.
He was most happy when spending time with his family. He really enjoyed the many trips they made to Hawaii and the company of the many friends (O’Hana) they have there.
He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Ernie has requested there be no service for him. Everyone just remember him as he was.
