Peter Michael Alexander Swallow
January 7, 2026
Peter Michael Alexander Swallow was born on May 25, 1969 and passed on January 7, 2026 at Pasqua Hospital in Regina, Saskatchewan at 56 years of age. Left to mourn Peter’s passing are his wife, Lisa Mahin and her children, Liam Stochmal-Mahin, Toni Simpson (Tim), and Hunter Mahin (Gord).
Peter is also survived by family in Alberta: Tammy Kublik and children: J’Ralt Swallow (Kea Mcdowell) and children, Ravyn and Kira; Mercedez Swallow and children, Riley and Jace; and Daimion Swallow (Brooke Anderson).
Peter was adopted at 2 years of age after spending time in foster care. He is also survived by sisters Hilary Grammer, Liz Vieweg, Kate Yee, and brother John Swallow, their spouses, three nieces and six nephews. He was predeceased by his adoptive parents, Matthew Swallow (1978) and Edna Swallow (2022).
Peter’s life had many ups and downs, loves and losses. Sadly, his success in beating long term addictions in his late 30s was followed by a serious diagnosis and subsequent decline in his physical health. His stubborn streak, sense of humour, and Lisa’s care helped him to live with degenerative lung disease for the last 18 years of his life.
During this time, Peter became an even more passionate Saskatchewan Roughriders fan and when not hanging out with the family pets, or playing video games, he was a vocal armchair quarterback. The living room will be a much quieter place without him.
Peter requested that there be no funeral service. If desired, donations may be made to the Lung Association of your choice.
Your spirit has been set free now, Peter. Rest in peace.
