Penny Tolsma

Penny Tolsma passed away at the age of 91. She was a faithful child of God and went to be with her Lord and Saviour on Sep. 10, 2025 at 6:15pm. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, Sept 20 on 3:30pm at Fleetwood Christian Reformed Church (9195 - 160 St, Surrey, BC).

Penny was born in Haarlem, Netherlands and came to Canada in 1956 to marry Rintje (Dick) Tolsma. Penny touched the lives of the people she met. She wasn’t shy to say hello to those she did not know. 
Predeceased by her husband Dick of 62 years, three infant children, her parents and her three younger stepsisters. Penny is lovingly remembered by her children Barb, Frank (Gail), Elly (Fred), Jim (Carolynne) and Jennifer (Dave), 14 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.

Psalm 46:

I will be exalted in the earth.”
The Lord Almighty is with us;
the God of Jacob is our fortress.

Lieve Familie, Gecondoleerd met het verlies van jullie moeder en grootmoeder. Ik herinner me tante Piny, zoals ze in ons gezin genoemd werd, als een uiterst hartelijke, vrolijke en bevlogen vrouw. De momenten dat ze weer in Nederland was herinner ik me nog heel levendig. Veel sterkte en medeleven gewenst de komende tijd. ~ Jarl
