Betty Penner

Betty Lou Penner passed away at the Didsbury Hospital on May 2, 2012. She was the beloved wife of Harry Penner for 51 years after marrying him April 22, 1961. She was born near Lethbridge on April 24, 1941 to Willard and Leora Anderson.

Left to mourn are her husband; two sons: Jim (Twyla) of Didsbury, and Brian (Patty) of Turin; one daughter-in-law, Denita, of Mississauga; nine grandchildren; one great-grandson; her mother; and one sister, Judy (Steve) Stead, along with many other family and friends. Betty is predeceased by her father; one son, Glenn Penner; and one grandson, Will Penner.

Betty left a wonderful legacy of an incredibly strong woman who loved her family no matter what. She was a faithful friend to anyone she met. She will be deeply missed.

A Memorial Service will be held at the Zion Evangelical Missionary Church in Didsbury on Monday, May 7 at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Rosebud Health Foundation, Box 962, Didsbury, AB  T0M 0W0.
