Don Peach was born to Howard and Shirley Peach on June 30, 1943 and passed away at the Willow Creek Auxiliary Hospital on Tuesday, September 8th, 2015 at the age of 72 due to cirrhosis of the liver. He was a very hard worker and had a wonderful sense of humor. His working life included positions as a farmer, trucker, contractor, woodsman as well as working in Sexsmith, AB at NARP and the Gypsum Company in Hantsport, Nova Scotia. Don retired from the Gypsum Company in 1990 due to a degenerative disease in his legs and arms. He was a very giving and social person. He was always willing to help where ever he could, whether it be helping to build the interior of the museum or helping someone around their house. Don could be found moving lawns, shoveling snow, helping a person move, or cleaning up a yard, whatever was needed he was happy to help.
Don was married to Jo-Ann Pridmore on January 30, 1970 and they had 2 children; Elizabeth Alice Rogelstad married to Mike and living in Calgary Alberta; Lorne Howard Peach married to Crystal Deveau and living in North Alton, Nova Scotia. They have 4 grandchildren, Tamara Adele Rogelstad, Christopher Lorne Peach, Abigail Dawn Peach, and Joshua Lorne Peach. Don will be greatly missed by all.
The funeral service will be held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Claresholm on September 19th, 2015 at 11:00 am. NO FLOWERS PLEASE due to family sensitivities. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Humanitarian Fund at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints or Claresholm General Hospital.
