Jason Lorne Paulson

Jason Lorne Paulson of Red Deer, Alberta passed away tragically on Wednesday, August 24, 2011. Jason was born in Edmonton on June 20, 1980. Jason is survived by his parents Terry and Linda; brother Jared; his loving dog Tikka; his grandfathers Clare Paulson of Wildwood, Alberta and Ken Bergeson (Marion) of Lacombe, Alberta as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He was predeceased by his grandmothers Thelma Paulson and Evelyn Bergeson; his great grandparents on both sides and his best friend Jace Harty. Jason was a loving, kind and generous son, brother, grandson, cousin and friend. His sense of humour was second to none. Jason will be greatly missed, remembered and loved by all. Linda, Terry and Jared, Yesterday I learned of the unfortunate and untimely death of your son, brother and my friend Jason. There are no words to describe the utter grief that I am feeling right now, and I cannot possibly imagine the shock and sorrow that has been thrust on your family as well. I will always remember fondly the memories I shared with Jason and your family…family gatherings, the stories, the laughs we shared, enjoying your horses and watching Jason grow into a fine young man. I am so honored to have met Jason and to have him as a friend. Since I’ve move to Dallas 4 years ago, Jason kept in touch with me thru the odd text message and facebook. It is true that he was taken from us too soon, and I think you share my sentiment that it feels a little unfair that such a smart and talented young man's life has ended with so much living left to do. It is my firm belief that bad things that happen to good people serve a greater good, and Jason's death will, I believe, teach us all something if we only let ourselves be taught. Right now, we all are trudging through the mourning process, but with support from friends and family, I think we can find ourselves whole again.
