Patricia Meyer

In Loving Memory of Patricia Meyer (Wowchuk)

Age 82

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved wife, mom, grandma, sister, aunt and friend.  Pat left us peacefully, on November 25, 2025 with family by her side, leaving behind a legacy of compassion, strength, and cherished memories.

Born in Vancouver and raised in Burnaby, Pat was the heart of our family. She had a distinctive voice and was always happy to share her opinion, guiding our lives with unwavering love. She was kind, respectful and empathetic and her career in customer service, first in grocery, then at BC Tel/Telus and finally at Blue Cross, was the perfect fit for her.

Family was the cornerstone of her life. Pat is survived by her husband, Mel; her children, Dan (Marisa), Kari (Ross), Jason (Miriam) and Steve (Andrea); eight grandchildren, Declan, Kylie, Daniela, Chris, Avery, Eric, Reese and Chloe; siblings, Judy and Jim (Sandy), predeceased by Robert (1991); many nieces and nephews and a wide circle of friends who will forever cherish her memory. Her legacy lives on in the stories we share, the traditions we uphold, and the love she instilled in each of us.

Pat enjoyed golf and was a member of the Fraserview Women’s group for many years. She loved to dance, cook and play bridge, but most of all she loved to socialize and be around people.

While her final days were in Burnaby General hospital, she was surrounded by many friends and family who kept her spirits high. Deep gratitude for Dr. Lam and the doctors and nurses on 3D and 2D for their care and comfort.

A celebration of life will be held in her honour on January 3, 2026 in Burnaby.  If you would like to attend, please contact her daughter at karibaker888@live.com. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to The Burnaby Hospital Foundation, or a charity of your choice, in her name, reflecting her generosity.

We will miss her dearly, but we find comfort in knowing that her spirit continues to guide us. Rest in peace, Mom—you will always be loved, remembered, and celebrated
