Roy Shafer Parker passed away on Friday, September 9, 2016 at the age of 99 years. Roy is lovingly remembered by his children, Shafer (Jeanne), Lloyd (Susan), Laura (Garry) and Cynthia (Ron); 11 grandchildren; and 19 great grandchildren. Roy is predeceased by 1 great grandson, Owen.
A Funeral Service will be held at the Hawkwood Baptist Church, 20 Hawkwood Drive NW, Calgary, AB on Saturday, September 17, 2016 at 1:00 pm. The family would like to thank Harvest Hills Bethany Care staff for the loving care given to Roy.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Roy’s memory to Calgary Pregnancy Care Centre, #205, 925 – 7 Avenue SW, Calgary, AB, T2P 1A5.
