Sandy, We are saddened to hear of Ron’s passing. On behalf of all the Johannson families, Allan and Elaine, BJ and Gayle, Ike and Michele, Curt and Dusty, Fin and Val. We all remember Ron as such a caring servant, helping all of us with our mechanical needs, committing his expertise and time as the need arose. Over the years he had become a dear friend and mentor. From each of us please know we will all be fondly thinking of Ron, with good memories and thankfully remembering all those times he’d be there for us. Day or night, weekdays or weekends. Great remembrances of Ron and Sandy, he was simply the best, so many camping trips to the west country, he and my husband Leonard were great friends, he was kind to my son Daryl Anderson. My thoughts and condolences are given to dear Sandy and her family.RIP Ron.

My heart felt condolences to Wendy, Sandy, Ron's extended family and his friends. Ron, to me, is one of those people we have in our lives that is foundational. We met some 60 odd years ago and lived a few blocks from each other. Our parents were friends. We spent time together primarily through Cubs, Boy Scouts and ended up as Queen's Scouts. He was about 18 months older than me and in many was like an older brother. As kids we did a lot of stuff; summer and winter camping in the back country, shooting the rapids in canoes on the Clearwater and the Bow (Almost died from hypothermia for our trouble), mountain climbing, fishing, cutting doughnuts on frozen lakes with our troop owned pick up trucks, Sampling the finer points of alcohol,( What happened in boy scouts stayed in boy scouts ) Yes we did a lot of stuff and all foundational to who we became as adults. We fooled around with the old pick up trucks and talked about girls. ( in hind sight, very naively) I also recall his excitement and anticipation every summer to go to the ranch at Bragg Creek. He so looked forward to that. But we grew up and split off in different directions with me moving away to work in the oil patch. Our Moms were great friends and that is what kept me in the loop in what was going on in Ron's life. (As kids it was never "Ronnie". It was what his Mom called him) I also remember when "Ronald" was used trouble was just around the corner. With Ron's Moms relatively recent passing I have been out of the loop and Ron's passing came as something of a shock. I guess as the years pass the foundation ages and starts to crumble. I will always remember him as "Hell on Wheels" as a kid. Rest in Peace Ron.

Sandy I am so sorry to hear about Ron passing. I have known Ron for over 40 years. I met him when I started at Kipp Scott. Ron was an excellent mechanic, a very intelligent man. I used to run into Ron in the hospital all the time I was there for chemotherapy and knew he was ill for quite some time. Ron and I had some long talks back then. I sure miss not seeing him. Take care of yourself Sandy.

Hi Sandy We are so sad to hear of Ronnies passing ! I will miss his visits at my shop as well as his laughing at my bad jokes ! He was always great at giving me advice about car issues and solving problems! Sorry that we will not be attending the memorial as we are down south but our thoughts will be with you. Tim & Sharon

Ron was a great guy. Have known him since tyhe early 80's at Kipp. Used to visit out at your farm when I had a Snap-on van. He was always so happy to see anyone come and had lots of stories and laughs. Our condolences are certainly with you and family. Take care.
