Arnold Leo Omoth peacefully passed away at the age of 95 on February 21, 2024.

Arnold was predeceased by his wife Hazel and son David and will be sadly missed by his son Kevin (Barb) and grandson Sean.

Arnold loved to farm. Raising 53 crops west of Milestone on Section 8. He believed in farming half and half and if there was a single weed, it meant going over all of summer fallow until it was black. A heavy-duty mechanic by trade, he was also an electrician, plumber, welder, and telephone lineman. Privately charitable, he was a life member of the Elks, the Masonic Lodge, and the Shrine. After moving off the farm in his early 80's, he went for coffee with his buddies at the 'Senate' in the Southland Mall and regularly visited Kevin's farm near Lumsden.

He enjoyed good health for most his life.

A family Celebration of Life is to be determined at a later date.

RIP Arnold. Always greeted with a friendly hello and a smile when I saw him. Arnold farming is still talked about locally, growing crops off fields that today knock the best farmers down a notch. A friendly intelligent man that stood up for his beliefs and family.

Arnold was part of my family forever. We were partners for many years on Section 8… he was the best steward of that land and loved it. I’m very grateful for that, but also his friendship.
