Shelly Marie Nicholson, 46, of Drumheller AB, passed away Thursday,  June 26, 2014.  A native of Calgary, Shelly was a daughter to Carol Northcott, Neil & Janet Nicholson and Ernie Bourdeau; mother to Jordan Nicholson; sister to Tammy Nicholson, Ashleigh Smith (Tyler), Bill Bourdeau (Georgina), Mike Bourdeau, Richard Preston (Alex), Mat Preston (Jen); and granddaughter to Kathleen Northcott.  Shelly spent the last 6 years of her life living in the valley with her partner, Sam Myers and his son, Avery.  Shelly was preceded by her sister, Bonnie Nicholson and grandparents, Ralph Northcott and Tom and Viola Nicholson. Survived by numerous cousins, nieces, aunts, uncles and friends, Shelly will be remembered for having the biggest, brightest smile around.  A Celebration of Life will be held at the Balzac Community Hall on Tuesday, July 8, 2014 from 2:00 – 4:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Shelly’s memory tp the Drumheller Humane Society, 1121D South Railway Avenue, Drumheller, AB, T0J 0Y6 or any other humane society of your choice.
