Katherine Naf

In Loving Memory of Katherine “Kathy” Naf

(May 14th, 1962 – February 3rd, 2025)

“Always in our hearts, forever in our memory.”

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Kathy Naf (nee Ullman), who left us on February 3rd, 2025, in Regina, Saskatchewan (SK), at the age of 62. She was born on May 14th, 1962, in Lestock, SK, to Edward Ullman and Agnes York (Ullman). Kathy grew up in the vicinity of and then ultimately in the town of Raymore, SK, where she attended school and formed lifelong friendships. After completing high school, she moved to Regina, SK, to further her education, build her career, and where she eventually met and married her husband, Edwin “Ed.”

Kathy will be lovingly remembered by her mother, Agnes; husband, Ed; brother, Ken (Terry); sister, Janice (Joel); stepson, Michael; stepdaughter, Jennifer; step grandchildren, Derek, Shawn, Katie, and Nicholas; numerous nieces and nephews; and her cherished dog, Buddy. Kathy was predeceased by her father, Edward; brother, Daryl; sister-in-law, Janice; stepfather, John; and her grandparents.

Although Kathy faced many health-related challenges in life, she never allowed it to define her. She was known for her warmth, kindness, wittiness, and unwavering strength. Her determination and resilience were evident to everyone who knew her, and her love for her family shone brightly.

Kathy had a passion for a variety of hobbies, including writing, gardening, and cooking, with a special love for making traditional family recipes like the “Easter Bunny Cake,” which was passed down from her mother. She was also a devoted jigsaw puzzle enthusiast, often losing herself for hours in solving puzzles and searching for new ones to tackle.

Her heart was full of love for her husband, Ed, who was her rock and partner in every sense. Together, they built a life filled with love, laughter, and companionship. Kathy was also a devoted mother to her dog, Buddy, who brought her immense comfort and joy since he became a treasured member of their family many years ago.

Kathy will forever be missed, and her memory will live on in the hearts of all who loved her.

A private graveside service will be held at the Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Cemetery, Raymore, SK, on May 14th, 2025, at 3pm.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the MS Society Canada (mscanada.ca) or to Bright Eyes Dog Rescue (bedr.ca) in her honour.
