Alex was the beloved husband of Sandi Munro. Sandi was at his bed side when he passed away at Foothills Hospital. Alex is also survived by this loving sister Linda Murray and her husband Michael Murray who reside in Glasgow, Scotland. Alex's Memorial Gathering will be held on Wednesday, January 16, 2013 at 1:30 pm in the Family Room at Grace Presbyterian Church, 1009 15 Ave SW, Calgary, AB T2R 0S5, (403) 244-5822. Parking is available in the parking lot attached to the Church off 9 St. SW and across the street on 15 Ave. The Church will provide parking passes for those attending Alex's Memorial Gathering. Grace Presbyterian Church is a Registered Charity. Those wishing to make a donation may send a cheque to Grace Presbyterian Church "In Memory of Alex Munro ESL", or drop in to the office weekdays between 8:30 am and 4:30 pm.

Dear Sandi, family and friends of Alex: I was so sad to read of the passing of Alex. Although I didn't know him well, I was a teacher at Tuxedo ESL where he volunteered. We spoke on occasion and Alex was particularly concerned about how I was doing and how things were going after my home burned down. I always appreciated his concern and will remember his kindness.
