Marvin Glenn Motz died at his home in Calgary, Alberta, Sunday, Dec. 2, 2012. He is survived by his wife Randi; his mother, four brothers and three sisters. Marvin was born on April 19th, 1955 in Hanna, AB, and was raised in Kelowna BC.
Settling in Calgary, he worked for Shaw Pipe Protection for many years. During his career Marvin was a key member of the United Steel Workers of America Union (local 5663) and over the years held a variety of roles on the union executive committee, and was held in high regard for his dedication and support of his fellow members. Marvin was also a devoted member of his church where he found strength in his faith.
A Viewing will be held at
Alternatives Funeral & Cremation Services, 12 East Lake Way NE in Airdrie
on Friday, Dec. 7th from 7 – 9:00 pm. A Memorial
Service will be held at Northeast Bible Church, 175 Whitefield Drive NE,
Calgary, AB on Saturday, Dec. 8th, 2012 at
1:00 pm. In memory of Marvin, donations
may be made to the Northeast Bible Church.
