Morley Garth Cleveland

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our father, Morley Garth Cleveland of Regina, Saskatchewan on Thursday, July 10, 2025 at the age of 71 years.

Morley is predeceased by his parents, Marie and Rupert; his brothers, Howard, Lenard, and George. Morley is survived by his children, Derek, Chris, Andrea, Bianca, and Braden; his grandchildren, Olivia, Jordan, and Alexander. Morley is also survived by his siblings, Mavis (Bill), Georgina, Donald, Clarence (Debbie), Margaret (Bryan), and Marilyn, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Morley was born in Smeaton, Saskatchewan on November 5, 1953. His family moved to Regina from Choiceland when he was young. He attended Sacred Heart Community School and Miller Comprehensive High School where he found his love for wrestling. He wrestled with the Regina Y Carlings Wrestling Club and earned himself a spot in the Canadian Open Wrestling Championship in Thunder Bay, Ontario where he won silver in the senior freestyle 105-pound weight class in 1973. Throughout his earlier years, Morley lived in Edmonton and lower mainland British Columbia before moving back to Regina to be closer with his family. Later in life, Morley moved to Vancouver Island to support his children before finally moving back to Regina in 2022.

In his professional life, Morley graduated from Marvel Beauty School in Edmonton and went back to school later in life at the University of Regina. After university, he worked various jobs before settling with the Canada Revenue Agency where he retired. In his personal life, Morley enjoyed playing guitar, had a love for sports, and a passion for martial arts and snooker. He gained many friends in the pool community wherever he lived, and particularly enjoyed competing in tournaments. Morley’s greatest joy was his children and grandchildren.

A celebration of Morley’s life will be held at the Multi Faith Centre, Wascana Rehabilitation Centre, North Wing, Second Floor, 2180 23rd Avenue, Regina, SK. on Saturday, July 19th, 2025 at 12:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be to the Canadian Cancer Society.

Messages of Condolence

You were always in my thoughts & prayers. I will always remember your love & kindness. Grateful for the time we had, the wisdom during our conversations & shared passion for sports events. RIP Morley 🕊️Condolences to the Family 💐 ~ Chris E

I will always cherish the precious memories of when Morely lived with us in Edmonton. As a child, I would watch you and my brother, Sern, grapple in the backyard. Poor Sern never had a chance against you when it came to wrestling. Rest easy now, Cousin. Lois ~ Lois Pollock White
