Donna Mae Morgan passed away on Saturday, February 4 2017 at the age of 73. She was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba to Ed & Martha Rangno, joining siblings, Doreen and Bob.

Donna was an avid adventurer having toured all over Canada, the USA, South America and Europe with many different traveling partners making many awesome long time Friends along the way. After meeting Ed, Donna discovered the joys of motorcycles and they traveled all over the Rockies, Ontario and the US together. She even eventually got her own bike and licence as well. Her other great adventures included horseback riding, hot air balloon trips, bob sledding, white water rafting and sky diving not only once but twice! Her big dream in life was to fly a plane solo, having already flown one with a co-pilot.

Donna is lovingly remembered by her daughters, Jennifer Morgan (Dave) McCurdy and Jessica Morgan (Mike Poulin); grandchildren, Lucas, Lyla, Sloan, and Zade; as well as her many adventurous and tolerant friends and traveling companions.

A Celebration of Donna’s Life will be held at the Tropical, 1424 – 17 Avenue SW, Calgary, AB on Sunday February 26, 2017 from 2:00 to 4:00 pm.

My sincere condolences to Donna's family. Donna was my "backyard neighbor" for over 8 years. She kept a eye on my home and closed my garage door many times when I somehow forgot. Donna always kept me up-to-date on neighborhood news and was always cheerful when walking her two cute little dogs. She will be missed.

Marguerite and I wish to express our most sincere and heartfelt condolences to you, Jennifer and Jessica, and your families. I first met Donna when I was fourteen years of age. She was my neigbour in Saskatoon, my classmate at Aden Bowman Collegiate ,my friend and sister-in-law and later even my house mate when she, Bill and Jennifer and I shared a wartime house in Winnipeg. Donna's huge heart, infectious laugh and beautiful smile were always captivating. She was a wonderful mom and grandmother and loved her kids and grandkids profoundly. Heaven will now be a better place with her there.

We are so shocked to find out one of the loveliest people in the neighborhood has passed. Donna always had a smile and some fresh gossip when we would bump into each other on our dog walks. We became fast friends and had iced tea in her backyard on occasion. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family during this difficult time. Our neighborhood will never be the same.

Donna Rangno was a high school friend of my sister. I took a lot of joy in bugging my sister's friends, but Donna never seemed to mind. After she got married and moved away from Saskatoon, I remember one day in particular - a day she came back from Albuquerque driving a truck - Chev Suburban I think - with a stick shift and air conditioning. She was wearing a poncho. I was maybe about 10 or so - I wanted to go for a ride and even though she must have been super tired, she took me out and drove me around. She made a big impression on me! So much so that when I was in Albuquerque a few years ago I went on campus just... just because. I'm not sure why she was there - was it her husbands' (your father I guess) school or was she getting her own degree, I don't know. What I do know though is echoed in the other comments in this thread - she was thoughtful, kind, and fun.
