Evelyn Viola Miller

Evelyn Viola Miller, nee Forsberg, passed away peacefully at Dogwood Lodge in Vancouver at the age of 95. Evelyn will be lovingly remembered by her family, including son Terry, daughter Marilyn Steele, son-in-law Ralph, grandchildren Kristen, Jennifer (Tim Westbrook), David (Jessie Koop), and Ryan and great-grandchildren Jackson, Nixon, and Audrey.

Evelyn was born in Saskatchewan, the eleventh of twelve children, moved to the coast in 1939, and married Fred Miller, a marriage that lasted until his death in 1990. She retired from Eaton’s department store in 1982 which gave her time to devote to travel, her hobbies and her family and to her church, First Lutheran, in Vancouver.

Celebration of Life for Evelyn will be held Tuesday, April 7, at 2:30 p.m. at Our Saviour Lutheran Church, 6340 No. 4 Road, Richmond, BC.

In lieu of flowers, donation may be made to the Canadian Lutheran World Relief (clwr.org) or the Heart and Stroke Foundation.

Marilyn, I will always remember your wonderful mother. She was our girl guide leader at First Lutheran Church and she was so much fun. Through the years of attending that church, your Mom would always greet me with such a warm smile and friendly greeting. She will always have a warm place in my heart. Please accept my deepest condolences and know that your Mom will be with you in your heart always.
