Alice Betty Michaluk

It is with great sorrow we announce the passing of Betty on October 31, 2021, at the age of 92. She was a loving and devoted mother and friend to all whose lives she touched. She will be sadly missed but never forgotten. Betty is predeceased by her loving husband Jack. She is survived by her daughters Arlene, and Lynn (Rob). Her granddaughter Lauren (Andrew), her grandsons Tyler (Katelyn) and Kyle, her great grandchildren Brodie and Haidyn and her beloved cat Murphy. Betty worked for several large companies as an accountant before operating her own business until the age of 85. She loved interior design, cruising, dancing, country music and playing the piano. Rest in peace Betty, you are forever in our hearts. In lieu of flowers please forward donations to Katie’s Place Animal Shelter (katiesplaceshelter.com) in her honour.

Betty was the glue that held things together in the front office of the Vancouver Canucks, both in the latter stages of the Western Hockey League and early days of our city's NHL franchise. Those were tumultuous times but Betty calmly guided management & staff with a patient and calm approach. She truly was a 'team player'.
