McNEIL, David Gordon

Dave McNeil of Airdrie, Alberta passed away peacefully in the early morning hours with his family by his side on Friday, May 21, 2021 at the Rosedale Hospice at the age of 59 years.

He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 30 years, Melody; son, Cameron; grandson, Winston; granddaughter, Ophelia; parents, Archie (Diane) McNeil and Mary Johns; brothers, Daryll, Greg and Brian and their families; father-in-law, Vic Zroback (Diane); sister-in-law, Bev McDonald (Bruce); brother-in-law, Andrew Zroback (Darlene); as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Dave was predeceased by his son, Matthew; and his mother-in-law, Cary Zroback.

He will be remembered for his love of flyfishing, building model boats, and his willingness to always lend a helping hand. Family was number one to Dave, and his grandchildren were the apple of his eye.

The family would like to express their gratitude to the Tom Baker Cancer Centre, Homecare and Rosedale Hospice. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, 200 – 235 Manning Road SE, Calgary, AB, T2E 2P5. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
