With extreme sadness, we announce Earl's passing due to complications following surgery. Earl was a great teacher who touched the lives of many, most notably at Foothills Academy, Senator Patrick Burns and Colonel Irvine schools. He loved climbing, hiking, camping, fishing, and skiing. He also loved to coach, play, and watch a multitude of sports. Earl had an exceptional gift for golf and woodworking. He will always be remembered for his tremendous wit, sage advice and a passion for lifelong learning. Earl is remembered by his loving wife, Jane, children Jordan, Lindsay, Sarah, and his beloved cat, Tess; Grandma Annie; his parents, Mel (Sue) and Maxine (Ben); brothers John (Kim) and Paul (Melinda) and children; his best friend Colin (Cindy) and children. A Celebration of Earl's life will be held at Wild Rose United Church (1317 - 1 St NW), Calgary, AB on Wednesday, April 4, 2012 at 3:30 p.m. Parking easement will be in effect.
